How much will an extension on my house cost?
There are many factors that make up how much a house extension will cost such as size, type of rooms being added, access, materials being used and complexity of the project. There isn’t any set rates that can be used to determine a price of a home extension, each project is unique and needs to be priced accordingly depending on the above mentioned factors.
Can I live in my house during the construction of my extension?
Depending on the type and area of the house extension will determine if it’s ok or not to stay living in your home during construction. In most cases it’s not a place to be living as it’s a construction site. It's noisy, dusty and will have many added challenges for your safety if you were to stay. In our experience the construction will be completed far quicker and less stressful on you if you move out during the construction.
Why would I choose to build a home extension rather than a new home?
It depends on what you value most, is it the character of your existing home, the reason you bought the house in the first place or where are all those family memories created? If so then yes a home extension is for you.
If however you don’t have that sentimental attachment to your home and you want everything to be new and have an uncompromising floor layout then a new home would be better suited for you.
